EXPERIENCE

In 2000, Michelle started as a programmer analyst in the Information Technology department for the Rankin County  Board of Supervisors.  For the last two decades, she developed software applications and researched technology solutions for all county departments. During her tenure in this position, the county grew from having three servers to over thirty. She believes Rankin County has always been on the cutting edge of technology, and she’s thankful to have been a part of that growth.

In 2016, the Board of Supervisors recommended that she lead elections support. It was her responsibility to oversee and manage elections including the programming of equipment, logic and accuracy testing, and the assurance and integrity of election security. She also managed election day support and final data reporting.

Rankin County Circuit Clerk Becky Boyd recruited Michelle in 2018 as a county court clerk. Michelle began to learn all aspects of the office, and in the fall of 2021, she was promoted to Chief Deputy Clerk. That experience combined with being the only candidate working in the Circuit Clerk's office drove Michelle to seek the position of Circuit Clerk upon Becky Boyd’s retirement announcement.

Elected in November 2023, Michelle Adcock is currently serving in her first term of office.
